Frequently asked questions
Short answers on how Pulse News works.
What is Pulse News?
Pulse News (pulsenews.eu) is an independent news site based in Budapest. It checks leading news sources every hour and turns each story into a short, bullet-point summary with AI. It has three editions: English, Turkish and Hungarian.
Is Pulse News free?
Yes. Reading the site is free and needs no account.
Where do the stories come from?
Stories come from publishers’ public RSS feeds. Every story names the original publisher, shows when it was published and links to the original report. Other publishers covering the same development are listed on the story page.
Who writes the summaries?
Summaries are generated by AI from the source text. They contain only what the source says; no commentary, speculation or partisan wording is added. Because summaries can contain errors, please check the full original before making important decisions.
How often is the site updated?
The news feed refreshes every hour. Market data and breaking news update more often during the day.
Which languages do you publish in?
Three: the English edition focuses on world news, the Turkish edition on Turkey and the world, and the Hungarian edition on Hungary and the world.
What does the Pulse score mean?
A number from 0 to 100 reflecting how important a story is and how widely it matters. Together with freshness, it sets the order on the home page.
What are stories bylined Pulse News?
Our own reports, compiled from several sources or from primary sources such as central banks, official gazettes, NASA, ESA and the UN. Each paragraph is numbered to the source it relies on. They currently appear in the Turkish edition.
I found a faulty summary. What should I do?
Send us the story link and the wording you think is wrong via the contact page; the summary will be regenerated or removed.
I’m a publisher and don’t want my stories listed.
Send us your domain via the contact page; your stories will be removed within 48 hours. Article texts are not stored; only a short summary and a link are published.
Is Pulse News a news agency like Reuters or the BBC?
No. Pulse News has no reporters in the field; it is a news summary site that gathers stories from their sources and condenses them. See the Compare page for a detailed comparison.
